A couple of mild days and the fishery is again on top form with 30lb of skimmers being the norm on the Sherwood lake, Arnie Payling fished in gale force winds and heavy rain on peg 18 fishing pole and 4mm pellet at 7m he had over 35lb in a 4 hour session made up of skimmers – 2lb, Rob ward went one better on peg 26 alternating between the bomb cast to the aerator and the pole fished to the weed bed he had a mixed net of skimmers and carp all on sweet corn that weighed 49lb 10oz.

Craig Brazier won the Tuesday rover match on peg 26 on the Holmedale lake with over 30 carp – 5lb for a total of 74lb 5oz fishing a small pellet feeder and two red maggots on the hook cast to the old lily beds, pleasure anglers are also enjoying some great sport with carp being landed – 9lb corn and pellet being the best baits and fishing from mid morning onwards, pegs round the island and 1-5 down the bottom end have been the best.

The Langdale is fishing the best its fished for a long time, pole fished maggot to a feature [best pegs 1,2,3,19 22.24.26.27.29] feeding 6 maggots every put in for chub – 3lb and carp and Ide – 2lb regular pleasure nets in excess of 30lb.

The Cavendish as been more sheltered from the winds and continues to produce lots of skimmers on the pole and pellet even on the coldest days 20lb is still on the cards from pegs 1-16

Pegs 1-7 are the best on the Maunside pole fished maggot and pellet to the far shelf for Chub and Orfe – 2lb and the odd carp – 5lb
