The strong wind made it hard to present a still bait, but it was John Woodland who took advantage of the wind drawn at end peg 63 with the wind blowing into it, he fished pole and pellet at 5m for about 10lb of skimmers – 1lb but in the last hour he had 9 carp – 3lb sealing victory over fishery Bailiff John Wooff, he was on flyer peg 40 but also struggled with the wind he fished pole and maggot down the margin for one 6lb carp with the rest of his catch made up of  roach perch and skimmers.

The lake is getting back on top form and fishing well despite the red hot flat calm conditions, top spot went to Darby’s Charlie Shaw drawn at peg 21 he alternated between pellet feeder cast to the island and the pole fished down the margin he had 16 – 6lb all on a 6mm pellet. Bridesmaid again was Jason Thomas he had 12 carp – 9lb on the pole and corn fished down the margin.

Drawn on the end peg John fished pole and pellet out at 14m to the island and down the margin he caught steady all match putting 53lb 7oz on the scales made up of carp – 3lb, skimmers chub and tench – 1lb. Making a regular appearance in 2nd spot Jason fished long pole and pellet for a net of skimmers – 2lb
