4^th John Woodland Peg One Angling Centre peg 12 Cavendish, 30-14-0

5^th Neil Wilkinson Sherwood Forest Fishery peg 4 Maunside, 29-12-0

6th Mick Langton Sherwood Forest Fishery peg 5 Maunside, 27-6-0

Richard fished pole and caster to the far bank on peg 2 on the Maunside and was into small carp and chub- 1lb straight away but after 2 hours bagging his swim dried up and he changed to fishing pole and corn over ground bait at the bottom of the far shelf this resulted in carp – 4lb finishing with an excellent winter net of fish weighing in 91lb 5oz. his day was made better for being sat on one of the golden pegs for an extra £100. In 2^nd place and a long way behind Worksop’s Steve Shepherd fished a small ground bait feeder and meat cast to the far bank on peg 10 on the Cavendish his 37lb 8oz net was made up of carp – 4lb and skimmers – 2lb

A couple of days of mild weather and the Holmedale lake fishes like it was summer, out in front again was Farm parks Neil Wilkinson at peg 24 he fished pole and pellet all match at 12m feeding very little he had 10 carp over 5lb and 15 from 1lb to 3lb. In 2^nd Steve lost his first 7 carp and was resigned to not having a good day but his fortune changed landing 17 carp – 7lb fishing pole corn and meat at the side of the borehole in peg 31

The lake started off fishing very well despite the cold but after 2 hours fishing the heavens opened and with the cold heavy rain every body struggled, but by that time Neil had had 8 carp – 7lb on pole and pellet having 2 more late in the match finishing 11lb in front of Geoff on peg 31. He fished pole corn and pellet at 14m into the bore hole landing 18 carp – 4lb and loosing the same again.

With the carp not showing it made it a lot fairer and closer match, Jim again drew peg 1 but nearly wasted to much time fishing for carp down the margin, without a bite for 2 hours he changed to fishing the pole straight out at 12m with 4mm pellet on the hook he had a skimmer the first put in the 30 more the biggest being about a pound. 2^nd placed John fished pole and caster up in the water for 15lb 7oz of roach – 12oz
