Maunside peg 2 again dominated the match but Dean didn’t have it all his own way fishing pole at 12m and corn on the far bank shelf, for the first 3 hours he had a carp – 3lb nearly every put in, but in the last 2 hours the fish moved into peg one and he watched his big lead diminishing. Ian fished pole and pellet to the far bank for a mixed net of chub – 1lb and carp – 4lb most were caught in the last half of the match finishing with 51lb 6 oz and 8lb short of winning.

Jason Thomas fished pole and meat at 8m because of the gale force winds ripping down the lake, potting pellets in on a regular basis to keep the fish interested he had 30 carp from 1lb – 7lb weighing in 87lb 5oz. In 2nd on peg 1 (a peg only put in because of the wind) Jason Singlehurst fished pole and pellet at the side of the lily pad, he too had to feed pellets regular to keep the fish interested having well over 30 carp – 5lb finishing with 63lb 8oz, 14oz in front of Glenn Greasley at peg 33 he fished bomb and pellet for a net of small carp – 4lb.

Carl started off fishing a small ground bait feeder and meat cast into the lily pads having 7 carp in the net the biggest being just a pound he swapped to the pole and pellet fished just off the bottom for 20 more the biggest going just over 7lb and weighing in 60lb 3oz 16lb to spare over 2nd placed Craig, he had just 7 carp 5 on pole and corn and 2 on a small ground bait feeder cast to the sunken island, his biggest carp was 10lb 2oz
