A big change in the weather from Wednesday a wide spread frost and parts of the lake froze over, but the result was still the same Neil Wilkinson at the top of the list, fishing pole and corn he had two 8lb carp and 7 smaller ones all caught in the first half of the match, in 2^nd place Steve had just four carp all around the 5lb mark on the bomb and corn cast to the island.

A couple of days of milder weather and the carp are back on the feed all round the lake.

Neil drawn at unfancied peg 14 on the field side started on the straight lead and corn tight to the small island without a bite a changed to his baited pole line he had a carp the first put in and never looked back fishing sweet corn on the hook over pellets he ended the match with over 25 carp from 2lb up to 9lb finishing with his 2^nd ton weight this year and a total of 106lb 1oz and making it 2 wins in 2 days.

30lb behind Mick had 14 carp between 3 and 10lb also on pole and corn at peg 24 and a total of 76lb 1oz.

Craig in 3^rd place had the most fish of the day fishing pole and pellet at the bore hole peg 31, he had over 40 carp – 4lb in his catch

A 4lb carp hooked in the dying minutes of the match put Neil in front, he had been catching skimmers – 12oz steady all day on pole and pellet on light gear when the carp took his bait 15 minutes latter it was in the net, not to the delight of John Holmes also fishing pole and pellet for skimmers was winning all the match but didn’t have any bonus carp. In 3^rd place Lee fished pole and caster up in the water for a fine net of roach – 8oz
