A nice spring day reflected in the result over half the anglers fishing had over 30lb with 13th place weighing 30lb 10oz, but again out in front was carp fishing expert Dave Madin, alternating between g/bait feeder up to the island and pole out at 14m and down the inside line, he fished meat, corn and pellet on the hook to take carp from 1lb to 7lb steady throughout the match. Having a late run Jim at peg 35 fished pole corn and pellet down the margin for 24 carp – 5lb with only 4 caught in the first half of the match.
