A very cold day after the storms in the night made it a little harder for most but Lee Parker had summers days fishing, drawn at peg 27 sheltered from the wind he fished the pole at 11m with soft 6mm pellet on the hook feeding 4mm hard pellets over the top landing over 30 carp – 7lb put him well in front of the rest with 90lb 10oz. In second place Pete Hodgetts alternated between the pellet feeder cast to the island and the pole and pellet fished at 6m because of the wind landing 12 carp – 9lb.

Simon drew peg 33 on the road side and fished a small pellet feeder cast to the lily pad and the pole and pellet on two lines at 14m catching first on the feeder and then the pole he landed 23 carp – 8lb and half a dozen skimmers – 2lb in his winning net of 103lb 11oz. 10lb behind in 2nd place Nigel was opposite the winner on the field side peg 27 and fished the same methods as Simon landing an all carp net with his biggest fish being 7lb in his total of 93lb 8oz.

John fished the Waggler and maggot casting four rod lengths he had a fish every cast in landing 21lb of roach, skimmers and perch – 12oz. In second John Holmes fished the pole and maggot over ground bait for 20lb of skimmers – 1lb.
