The warm weather seems to be suiting the carp with over 100lb needing to win and 54lb 1oz was only good enough for 7^th place. On the top of the list was Richard Wood fishing for Peg One angling drawing peg 35 he fished long pole and paste, feeding nothing he had a bite the first put out and a fish the 2^nd put in then he caught steady all match finishing with 40 carp – 7lb and a total of 114lb 8oz. Both 2^nd and 3^rd placed anglers both fished pole and paste at 6m over ground bait for carp – 8lb.

Lee was the only angler to catch carp in any numbers, fishing pole and corn down the margin he had lots of small carp – 2lb + 3 bigger samples all about 8lb each. Shaun fished pole and pellet for about 35lb of skimmers – 2lb he was helped out in the hour of the match hooking and landing 2 carp – 7lb both on light tackle.

Pete had an accident before the match resulting in a broken no. 6 section so he had to fish sort and opted to fish the margins, fishing on corn he had 22 carp – 9lb just 8oz sort of the 100lb barrier. 2^nd place Mick Smith was finding it hard to stop the fish snapping his line, fishing 018 he had nothing bigger, on the pole and paste he also had 22 carp his biggest going 7lb
