A change to the Sherwood lake in the penultimate round fishing for Skimmers and tench but Carl didn’t fancy that and having nothing to loose in the league he fished for carp on g/bait feeder meat and maggot up to the island a peg 40 he landed a 4lb fish on his first cast and an 8lber on the 2^nd that broke his feeder rod he fished the rest of the match with the feeder on his waggler rod struggling to get the fish out he ended with 6 more and lost 4 others. 2^nd place went Worksop’s Gordon Smith fishing pole and caster at peg 42 he had one 5lb carp and a net of skimmers and tench – 2lb. 3^rd placed Steve didn’t have a fish over a 1lb in his net of skimmers, roach and tench all on the pole and worm

Dave had back to back wins fishing pole and pellet, meat and paste putting 20 carp on the scales in the 5 hour day match and 22 – 7lb in the 3 hour evening match, he fed ground bait and pellets on 3 lines and caught steady all match. Over 20lb behind in both matches the 2^nd placed anglers both fished pole and pellet under the willows in the pegs for carp – 6lb

It looked like the wind was going to be the winner in this the 1^st open match on the Sherwood Lake but with over half the anglers fishing weighing in over 10lb it proved a successful match. The winner Wayne drew noted carp peg 42 and did manage to catch two 4lbers on pole and pellet but the rest of his catch was made up of skimmers and bream – 2lb all taken on the pole and caster fished at 6m. 3oz adrift in 2^nd place Lee fished pole and caster down the inside line he had one bonus 5lb carp with the rest of his catch being made up of skimmers and roach – the 1lb mark.
