The lake fished well despite most of the carp were spawning, it was Andy Lakey back to the top of the list again drawn at peg 17 he fished the pole out at 12m and down the margin both with maggot for 40 small carp – 6lb + a few roach and perch for the only ton of the day 113lb 5oz. In second place Alan fished the pole and worn over pellets for a mixed net of carp and bream – 6lb.

Dave fished the pole and caster short at 4m up in the water for one bonus 7lb carp with the rest of his catch made up of Ide & skimmers – 1lb, 2nd place went to Mark Watts his highest finishing position fishing the pole and caster out at 6m for skimmers & ide and late in the match fishing the pole and corn down the margin for 5 carp – 6lb

These four hour evening matches always prove popular and no wonder with weights like these.
In top spot was Ben Holmes drawn at peg 4 he fished the pole and meat shallow for carp – 8lb catching all through the match he put 249lb 12oz on the scales breaking the fishery match record that he held by 18lb. 2nd place was Eastwood Angling Centre boss Martin Brown fishing the pole and paste for 156lb 1oz of carp – 9lb.
