 Late for the draw and the only peg left in the bag was Steve’s favourite peg at the venue. Setting up the method feeder casting to the island and pole for fishing the margin, he started fishing the feeder and meat up to the and after the first hour it was a carp every cast out having over 40 fish – 4lb till the last hour a change to the pole for 4 more – 8lb and a grand total of 134lb 1oz. In second place with 123lb 15oz Dave Madin returning back to fishing after a 6 month break baby sitting, pegged at unfancied 47 doing what he does best turning it into a flyer fishing pole meat and pellet long up to the island he had just 20 carp – 8lb

Jim fished pole out at 13m on soft pellet over pellet for skimmers – 1lb and with the carp failing to show his gamble paid off, putting 35 fish in the net and finishing with 4lb to spare over team mate Neil.
