A white over frost greeted the anglers this morning but the lake still fished well, in top spot was fishery owner Mick Langton drawn at peg 33 he fished the pole and pellet out at 13m for 21 carp – 5lb and the worm fished down the margin for 6 margin monsters – 12lb finishing with the only ton weight of the day a level 125lb. A tight finish between 2^nd & 3^rd with Chris Greensides just edging it with 97lb 7oz of carp and chub from the margin at peg 21

Steve fished the pole and c/worm out at 11m for 35lb of skimmers and Ide – 1lb and 5 carp – 10lb on the worm fished down the margin for a level 75lb

Craig fished the pole and pellet out and later down the margin landing 20 carp – 5lb and 5 margin fish – 10lb for 110lb 4oz and an extra £100 for being on the golden peg.

2^nd went to Norman Powers drawn at peg 4 fishing the pole and corn out and down the margin for 28 carp – 8lb and the only other ton weight of 106lb 15oz.
