A white over frost and a sunny flat calm day made it hard for most anglers except for Danny Crewe drawn at peg 39 he fished the pellet scoop feeder and pellet hookbait cast tight to the island for 25 carp – 7lb for a total of 77lb 10 oz. Nigel Shipman was 2nd from peg 37 fishing a small pellet feeder cast to the island for 51lb 14oz of carp – 7lb.

Dave drew in form peg 41 and fished the pole and pellet out at 12m for 30lb of skimmers- 1lb and the pole pellet and worm down the margin for carp – 7lb to record the best weight from the lake this year 92lb 3oz

A better day and the fish put in an appearance all round the lake with 62lb 10oz only good enough for tenth place. But at the top it was the Powers family son Kristian drawn at peg 7 after a slow first hour it was no looking back fishing the pole and paste on two lines at 6m he landed over 40 carp -6lb finishing with a massive 138lb 4oz. Dad Norman pegged at 33 fished the method feeder and meat cast to the lily pads and later fishing the pole and meat down the margin landing carp- 9lb in his net of 88lb 3oz
