One off the hottest days so far this had some anglers struggling, but not Martyn Brown fishing the pole and paste out and down both margins he caught steady all match landing 40 carp – 7lb. In second Maver’s Simon Skelton had a late run of carp on the pole and pellet fished down the margin for 102lb 12oz.

Dave fished his usual pole and caster sort at 5m on the deck and up in the water for 72lb of Ide and skimmers-1lb before turning his attention to the carp fishing the pole and worm he landed 10 carp making up the rest of his weight of 127lb 15oz. In second place Steve had a mixed net of silvers on the pole and worm and the pole and corn fished down the margin for carp.

Carl fished the pole and meat out at 13m and down the margins landing carp – 9lb in his 152lb 5oz catch finishing way out in front of what was a tight match.
