A very cold and frosty start to the match with most anglers only catching in the second half, the winner Pete was fish less with two hours to go but a change to the wagler fished with double red maggot cast to the old lily bed altered that landing roach – 1lb and carp to 3lb to edge Lee into 2nd place, Lee fished the pole and pellet at 13m and had 8 carp – 4lb in 8 puts out for 20lb 15oz.

1st place again for Barry this time from peg 5 fishing the pole at 13m with pellet over a small amount of loose fed pellets he had 21 carp – 11lb for a good winter total of 69lb 7oz, his team mate Jamie was in 2nd place fishing a pellet feeder and the pole on the pellet he had a nice net of carp – 4lb from peg 32.

The hard frost did the damage this morning and stopped all the chances of the usual big weights. In top spot was John Woodland drawn at peg 5 he fished the pole at 11m with both pellet and maggot recording a mixed net of small carp – 4lb and roach – 1lb for a winning weight of just 39lb 9oz. 2nd place went to Martin Brown at peg 24 catching 7 carp – 6lb on the pole and pellet late in the match for 31lb 2oz.

The carp failed to show so the top silver fish angler made his way to the top of the list, Mick drew peg 47 fishing his usual pole at 7m with worm over chopped worm he was into fish from the off, landing fish most puts out he finished with a level 32lb of skimmers, roach and Ide – 1lb.
