With the qualifying matches now finished, we can confirm that the line up for this year’s three-day Evesham Festival this Bank Holiday Weekend has never been stronger.
With no fewer than ten Internationals taking part on each day of the competition, spectators can be assured of a match fishing masterclass of a standard rarely witnessed on British soil.
Alongside the fantastic sport on the river, visitors can also enjoy a vast array of stalls, including a craft fair, displays by fishing tackle manufacturers and retailers, food stalls, and plenty of fun and entertainment for the kids.
Visitors on the Saturday can look forward to watching the Shakespeare Championship, where the winner will walk away with a cool £6,000 for their efforts. Sunday’s Wychavon Championship is another big money final, and a good match is always guaranteed.
On Monday, fourteen of the country’s strongest match fishing teams line up for the prestigious Match Fishing Team Championship.
This is always a tense affair, where every fish counts as anglers do everything they can to guarantee good section points for their team.
The main hub of the event takes place on the Crown Meadow at Evesham, with gates opening at 9:00AM and closing at 5.30PM.
