Globetrotting carp legend Steve Briggs has a new book out which chronicles his carping adventures between 2005 and 2012
‘Carping Horizons’ includes chapters about his pioneering fishing in Morocco, Austria and Germany, as well as winter sessions on Lake Cassien in France and his time at Rainbow Lake, when the carp world was only just realizing its potential.
The book also covers his World Carp Cup triumph in the USA with Tim Paisley and his milestone of landing his 100th carp over 50lb, which came from seven different countries.
There’s also plenty about is UK exploits in targeting big fish from low stock waters, including what he describes as his ‘ultimate challenge’ in targeting The Black Mirror from The Mere and eventually being the last angler to catch the fish in 2010. More information at www.freebirdpublishing.co.uk .
