Birmingham Anglers Association member Pete Jones caught the bream in feeding mode when he fished the club’s stretch of the River Severn at Bird’s Meadow near Tewkesbury last week, fishing feeder and worm for a fine net of fish totalling 96lb.

He also had 26lb of bream on the River Avon at Woodend last week, which is just across the meadow from the Bird’s Meadow stretch.
