Cradley Heath Labour angling club fished a match on the Warwickshire Avon at Marlcliff and saw the top two both top 20lb, Adrian Chowns winning with a fine 29-3-0 bag of chub to 3lb on feeder and caster from peg 14. On the canal scene, the first round of the Mosella Black Country Festival on the Soho Loop Canal in the city featured a winning 20-15-12 bag of tench and bream on pole and chopped worm to Dudley Bait and Tackle’s Dave Sheaf.
