A howling wind greeted anglers fishing the WBC Angling event on the Grand Union Canal at Tyseley in the city near Acocks Green at the weekend, and that made pole fishing difficult.
But winner Tony Foster winkled out over 4lb of roach fishing squatt and pinkie down the middle and over the far side from peg 38 to win on the day. That was just too good for Tony Barton on one side of him (3-8-12) and Graham Neary on the other (3-2-0).
