The Coventry Canal at Nuneaton hosted the fourth round of the Warwickshire Winter League on Sunday, 50 anglers finding the fishing pretty tough.

Pole, bloodworm and joker were the order of the day and there were only two weights over 5lb, Shakespeare’s Darren Massey taking top honours with 58 roach for 7-10-1 from the gardens section opposite the tins at the Jewson end. The only other 5lb plus weight went to team mate Jason Cunningham, who put 6-0-5 on the scales. Shakespeare won on the day easily and are also clear in the league.
