Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery has been booked to host the prestigious Van den Eynde Supercup final for the first time.
The move by the organisers follows a run of poor results at JCB Lakes, which has hosted the final for the last decade.
The event, the biggest in the club match fishing calendar, will take place on Sunday July 11th at the Shrewley water, and to accommodate the venue only 15 rather than the previous 21 teams will make the final. So the top five from each of three semi finals will go through.
All the lakes are available but my understanding is that House, Extension and New Pools will all be used.
“You can’t have a national final in July on a fishery that produces no bites for a sizeable percentage of the field,” said Supercup organiser Richard Grange. “We’ve used Tunnel for the semis before and have had some great matches.
