POOL REPORTS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 27th NOVEMBER 2011
With the inclement weather, good bags of fish are still being caught at Tunnel Barn with anglers needing 90lb to win matches and pleasure anglers reporting bags of 60lb+.
Top Pool
Maggot feeder with bronze maggot to the island for mirrors, commons and big f1’s.
Maggot or pellet on the deck with anglers reporting the fish being caught at half depth.
Bottom Pool
Method feeder with dead red maggot is still producing large mirrors and common carp up to 14lb.
Pellet and corn at 6m to 8m has been producing f1’s, mirrors and common carp.
Meat down the edges for large mirrors and common carp.
Pleasure anglers have reported large bags of perch up to 3lb being caught on maggot and chopped worm.
Congratulations to Chris Neale who weighed in a mixed bag for total weight of 93lb 4oz from peg 18. He fished pellet @ 12m down the left hand edge in 2ft of water and enticed mirrors and commons up to 6lb.
House Pool
Dead red maggot feeder to the island has been producing good bags of mirrors and commons.
White maggot at 8m on the deck has been producing large bags of silverfish and f1 carp.
Pellet at 6m or 8m down on the deck for mixed bags of f1’s, bream, roach and carp.
Extension pool
Pellet to the island has been producing f1’s, mirrors and common carp.
Scopex favoured 4mm pellet over micro pellet at 8m to 10m or down the edges late on in the session has been producing large bags of silvers, mirrors, f1 carp and bream.
Maggot at 4m to 6m at half depth in the water with constant feeding has been catching large bags of f1 carp, skimmers and roach.
New Pool
Pellet and maggot have been the best baits on this lake long to the island or @ 6m and down the edges. F1’s and plenty of skimmers and roach are being caught.
Large perch are still being caught between pegs 18 and 23.
Maggot fished over groundbait has enticed the big f1 carp to start feeding.
Canal Pool
In general pellet and maggot are the best baits at 6-8m and across to the island.
Constant steady feeding of maggots is bringing the fish up in the water late on in the session.
Barbel in excess of 2lb have been reported by pleasure anglers, being caught on chopped worm and small cubes of meat.
Congratulations to Ronnie Biggs who triumphed in the Saturday open match with a winning weight of 83lb 3oz. He fished 6m on the deck down the track with 2mm cubes of meat over micro pellet for fish up to 2lb, mirrors, commons and f1 carp.
Club Pool
Method feeder with dead red maggot to the island for large mirrors, f1’s and common carp.
Pellet, maggot or meat at 8m and 4m straight in front for stockies, bream to 4lb, tench and roach.
Barbel are showing up to 2lb down the edges on maggot and chopped worm.
Pellet or maggot at 6-8m has been working well.
Jenny’s Pool
Pellet shallow at 6m has produced weights by pleasure anglers of 40lb to 60lb. The fish are being caught at half depth in the water mid way through the session.
Method to the island with corn or meat over micro pellet is attracting a larger stamp of fish.
Small cubes of meat on the first shelf have tempted the barbel.

Chambers champs had a clean sweep of the top 4 anglers on the day, to register their best win of the series so far.
1st: Pete Goodman weighed in a match winning weight of 64-8 from peg 13 on the New pool. He fished maggot down the track @ 8m and to the point of the island for f1’s, skimmers, roach & bream.
2nd: Steve Ringer came 2nd with 56-3 from peg 25 on the Extension. He fished maggot @ 8m down the track on the deck for a bag of mainly f1’s.
3rd: Stu Palsar came in a close 3rd with 55-14 from peg 21 on the House pool. He fished pellet down both the left and the right edges & 12m to the island for f1’s to 1.5lb, bream & silverfish.
