RESULTS FOR OPEN CONTESTS WEEK ENDING 19th JUNE 2011

All lakes fishing well with match weights of 150lb being caught and pleasure anglers reaching weights of 120lb+

Top Pool
Chopped worm and caster to the islands and down the edges catching well with f1’s up to 2lb, skimmers roach and perch to 1lb.  Maggot at 6m on the deck later and later on in the session up in the water continues to give excellent sport.

Bottom Pool
Dead red maggot on the method feeder to the islands is catching the big mirrors/commons.  Meat and corn over hemp at 6m down the edges for good bags of f1’s to 8lb.  Maggot or pellet for silvers, roach, perch and skimmers.
 
House Pool
Ledgered meat to the islands for the larger mirrors/commons & f1’s.  Maggot will bring plenty of f1’s & silvers with paste down the edges bringing in big f1’s to 4lb and mirrors/commons to 8lb.

Extension pool
Meat to the island for large bags of f1’s.  Pellet down the track and the edges is catching f1’s, skimmers, roach and perch.  Maggot up in the water at 6m is now starting to produce match winning bags.

New Pool
Pellet long to the island for f1’s and mirrors.  Pellet/maggot down the track at 7m for mixed bags with f1’s now coming up in the water to a single bronze maggot or a banded pellet.  Paste down the edges for the bigger 1’s and mirrors.
 
Canal Pool
Maggot down the track and later on in the session up in the water at 7m is catching mixed bags of silvers and f1’s.  Corn over hemp to the island for the larger f1’s with paste down the edges for large bags of mirrors/commons.
 
Club Pool
Chopped worm down the track and the edges for plenty of fish, f1’s skimmers, perch, roach and barbell.  Long to the island with meat or corn over hemp for the larger mirrors and commons.
 
Jenny’s Pool
All baits are going here with meat topping the scales with matches being won with 135lb of fish.  Big f1’s are being caught and barbel up to 2lb giving the anglers plenty to think about.  Paste down the margins is also producing good bags of silvers/f1’s.
