Total-Fishing has teamed up with a man with intimate inside knowledge of the Belgian fishing scene to bring you daily updates from the World Champs.

Martin Hallford lived in Belgium for three years, regularly fishing in and winning on the Belgian open circuit. Now back in England, he still often travels over the Channel to compete in the matches.

Martin (pictured above at the recent Midlands Matchman of the Year final) has forged close links with the English team and will be staying in the same hotel as the boys during practise week and through the match, and each evening from Tuesday August 31^st he’ll be bringing you the latest news, views and gossip from the competition, keeping you in touch with how the home nations and other fancied teams such as France, Belgium and Hungary are getting on.

Martin is also looking to team up with TF’s Graham Aveyard so that they can download images from the practise week and match itself onto the site. Their updates will appear here, in the News section of the site.

And of course they will be bringing you the results from the Saturday and Sunday showdown as soon as they can get them, although we imagine one or two of you will have those up on the coarse discussion board first.
