Ricci Chavez caught this potential IGFA All-Tackle world record leather bass (Dermatolepis dermatolepis) while fishing out of Los Buzos Panama Kayak Fishing Lodge.
The fish weighed in at 28lb 2oz (12.78kg), Chavez’s and is heavy enough to replace the existing record of 27lb 8oz if accepted.
