Maicon Flex Iscas Artificiais caught and released this massive 107cm Atlantic snook (Centropomus undecimalis) that could earn him the new IGFA All-Tackle Length record.
Maicon caught the mighty fish while casting an artificial shrimp along the rocky coast of Ubatuba, a coastal Brazilian city located betweem Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.
After a tough 20-minute fight, Maicon boated the fish for some quick measurements and photos, before releasing it alive.
The current IGFA record is 106 cm, so if approved, Maicon’s trophy snook would tie the existing record. IGFA rules state that an incoming All-Tackle Length record must be at least 2 cm longer than the existing record in order to replace it.
